Stimulate Inspiration

We here at The Plaid Sheep are just like anyone else, we get into our ruts. Be aware this will happen to you as well. Have hope, there is a cure. Here are some tips to combat the creative blues…

1. Surround yourself with creative people.

2. Go explore your town or surrounding areas of nature for color schemes.

3. Take a day to relax. Curl up with a hot/cold drink and do nothing but find/loose yourself.

4. keep a notebook with a list of things you want to do or try.

We hope this little list helps…

Welcome 2013

Things have been busy at The Plaid Sheep. Not only are we gearing up for spring, we are also busy with winter. Wool is a main stay for dealing with the winter weather. It is a natural fiber that still maintains its heating value even when wet. It feels lovely in the hand and even more so to work with. We offer 100% wool and wool blends, something for everyone at The Plaid Sheep. Classes for the beginner through advanced in both Crochet and Knitting. We even offer Weaving classes. If you have any questions feel free to stop in and pick our brains. We at The Plaid Sheep are here to serve you in all your yarn needs.

The show at Ghost Town

We attended the show at Ghost Town. The weather was not cooperating, but we still had a blast meeting everyone. it was a reminder that even though it was raining;  that people can still have a good time. Everyone pitched in, and made sure that the rain didn’t dampen the spirits. So many crafters, so much talent between a wood worker, a fiber artist: bases were pretty much covered. Now for the tip on shows and showing. Tie your tent down, don’t rely solely on the stakes.
